At Solmatix, we believe that building a sustainable future goes beyond renewable energy projects. It is also about investing in people, communities and the next generation.
That is why we have been incredibly proud to support the Year 9 football team at Crumlin Integrated College this year. This is a group of young players who have shown exactly what the future is made of.
A Victory Built on Teamwork and Determination

The team recently secured an impressive 3–2 victory in the Mid Antrim Cup Final, in what was a fiercely contested match from start to finish.
Beyond the scoreline, what stood out most was the character of the team. Their teamwork, resilience and determination were clear throughout the competition. These are qualities that extend far beyond the pitch and reflect a mindset that will serve them well in the future.
Showing Up for the Moments That Matter
Ahead of the final, Neville Bell had the opportunity to visit the team, meeting the players and wishing them well before the big game. He also made sure they were prepared with Solmatix water bottles to keep them hydrated.
It is a simple gesture, but it reflects something bigger. Supporting young people is not just about sponsorship. It is about showing up, encouraging them and recognising their effort and commitment.
Investing in Community and Future Potential
For us, initiatives like this are just as important as the work we do in renewable energy. Schools and local sports teams play a vital role in shaping confidence, discipline and community spirit.
By supporting them, we are contributing to something wider:
Encouraging healthy, active lifestyles
Building confidence and teamwork
Strengthening connections within local communities
Supporting the development of future talent
These are the foundations of strong, resilient communities and a better future.
Eyes on the Next Challenge
The journey continues for the team. They are back in action on Friday 1st May, competing in the Northern Ireland Small Secondary Schools Cup Final at Blanchflower Stadium.
They will take on St Mary’s College, Irvinestown in what promises to be another exciting match. The entire Solmatix team will be cheering them on.
More Than a Moment
These are the moments that matter.
Seeing young people work hard, support each other and represent their school with pride is something worth celebrating and investing in.
At Solmatix, we are proud to play a small part in that journey and look forward to continuing to support initiatives that make a real difference in the communities we serve.
Best of luck to the team. We are all behind you.
