Solmatix becomes registered Tesla Powerwall installer as Powerwall 3 launches in Northern Ireland

Leading renewable energy specialist Solmatix has become a registered Tesla Powerwall installer, enabling homeowners across Northern Ireland to access the latest generation of Tesla’s home energy storage technology.

Tesla Powerwall 3 and its associated expansion units are now available to order in Northern Ireland, with both backup and non-backup installation options available.

The development follows specialist Tesla training recently delivered to members of the Solmatix team, providing them with the technical knowledge required to specify and install the technology for customers across the region.

Powerwall 3 combines a home battery with an integrated solar inverter offering up to 11.04kW of output. It enables homeowners to store electricity generated by their solar panels for use when it is needed, helping them reduce their reliance on the grid and take greater control of their household energy costs.

Each Powerwall 3 provides 13.5kWh of energy storage capacity. Homeowners can also add up to three expansion units to each system, with every additional unit providing a further 13.5kWh of storage. This allows the system to be scaled in line with a household’s energy use and future requirements.

Powerwall 3 can be installed as part of a new solar and battery system or considered for eligible homes with existing solar PV. The availability of backup options means appropriately configured systems can also provide additional resilience during a grid outage.

Powerwall 3 and its expansion units are supported by an all-inclusive 10-year warranty with unlimited cycles, 80% energy retention and 100% depth of discharge, subject to Tesla’s applicable warranty terms.
