Dear Clients and Partners,
As 2025 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on what has been another remarkable year for Solmatix and to thank everyone who has played a part in our journey.
This year has been defined by strong partnerships, significant project milestones and continued growth across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain. None of this would be possible without the trust our clients place in us or the dedication of our Team who continue to deliver to the highest standards.
We are proud of how the Solmatix business has grown, but even more proud that our values - integrity, quality and long-term relationships - remain at the heart of everything we do.
A PERSONAL NOTE FROM NEVILLE BELL

As I look back on 2025, I feel incredibly proud of
what the Solmatix Team has achieved together.
We’ve continued to grow at pace, taken on more
complex and ambitious projects, and expanded
our footprint well beyond where we started – yet
our focus hasn’t changed. At Solmatix, we are still
driven by doing the right thing for our clients,
supporting each other as a Team, and delivering
work we can stand over with confidence.
This year has reinforced something I’ve always
believed: if you can dream it, you can do it.
The projects we are now delivering were once only ambitions on a page, and seeing
them come to life is a credit to the people behind them.
Partnership has been at the heart of everything – clients who trust us, supply-chain
partners who share our standards, and colleagues who live our values every day.
We are especially grateful to the Turkington family, Chris Slowey – Manfreight, and
Mark Hutchinson – Hutchinson for their trust, support, and the invaluable relationships
they’ve introduced us to. We deeply value these connections and look forward to
continuing our work together. Relationships like these are the backbone of our
business - they underscore the trust that drives our success.
We’ve also stayed true to another principle I try to lead by: the 5 P’s – Proper
Preparation Prevents Poor Performance. It’s served us well this year, and it will
continue to guide us as we take on even bigger challenges.
And finally, a mindset that has shaped much of our journey: I don’t think about how to
lose, I think about how to win. This isn’t about competition — it’s about believing in our
ability, backing our Team, and striving for excellence in everything we do.
As we look ahead to 2026, we do so with real optimism and ambition.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
2025 - A YEAR OF MILESTONES
Throughout 2025, Solmatix has delivered a wide range of renewable energy projects across multiple sectors, including industrial, agri-food, healthcare, education, public sector and commercial developments.
We completed and commenced installations for clients such as NI Water, Hutchinson, McAuley Engineering, Craigavon Area Hospital, Altnagelvin Hospital, Natural World Products, Cirrus Plastics, Trans-Bridge Freight Services, Creative Composites, Sensata, Point of Entry Brexit Buildings, and multiple local authority and university sites across NI, ROI and GB.
This year alone, we installed over 15.9 megawatts of Solar PV, contributing to an estimated 3500 tonnes of CO₂ savings and supporting organisations in strengthening their energy resilience and sustainability credentials. That is the equivilent of planting 140,000 trees!
We also continued our long-term work with NI Water, surpassing 5MW of installed capacity across 68 sites since 2014, alongside progressing new mainland UK projects across England and Scotland.
GROWTH, CAPABILITY AND INVESTMENT
2025 has also been a year of internal progress.
Our Team has grown to 25 dedicated professionals, as well as 30 dedicated and committed subcontractors, who are an extension to our Solmatix family. We have also continued investment in technical expertise, health and safety, and commercial capability. We strengthened our accreditations and systems, progressing ISO standards including the addition of ISO 45001, and expanded our ability to deliver specialist
solutions such as battery storage, off-grid installations and complex grid-connected schemes.
We also enhanced our employee offering, introducing Aviva Health Insurance and continuing to prioritise staff wellbeing, training and long-term development.
PROJECTS DELIVERED IN 2025
2025 was another landmark year for Solmatix, with major renewable energy installations delivered across healthcare, utilities, agri-food, manufacturing, education, logistics, commercial and community sectors. Our work continuedto span Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain - supporting organisations as they transition to cleaner, more resilient energy systems.
Highlights include:
In healthcare, we completed 1,252 kWp at Craigavon Area Hospital, saving more than 250 tonnes of CO₂ annually, and delivered almost 950kWp across Altnagelvin, Omagh and Western Trust community sites.
Public-sector progress continued with installations for Belfast City Council - including their first Solar PV and battery storage project — Ards & North Down Borough Council, and the Point of Entry Brexit Buildings in Belfast, Larne and Warrenpoint where we delivered a 252 kWh containerised battery system and Solar PV.
The private sector saw strong growth, with major projects completed for Cirrus Plastics (940 kWp), Creative Composites (696 kWp), Natural WorldProducts (700+ kWp), Reduction Plastics (362 kWp), Coleman’s Garden Centre (221 kWp), FastHouse (215kWp), Indicators International (200 kWp) and Frederick Jones (144 kWp). Additional key projects included SAM Mouldings (1.621 MW), Turkington – Sensata (240 kWp) and TrustFord Lisburn (135 kWp).
We also delivered Solar PV for Trans-Bridge Freight Services, Intertoll and multiple Dalata Hotel Group sites, including Maldron Portlaoise (250 kWp) and Maldron Dublin Airport (50 kWp).
In GB, our mainland division continued to grow with industrial and mixed-use schemes targeting BREEAM Excellent and EPC A ratings, while in ROI, we delivered a significant system for Western Brand Poultry in Waterford.
Our work in education and community included installations for Queen’s University Belfast, Crumlin Integrated College, and Hopefield House / Bringing Hope NI. With Bryson Energy, we also helped deliver Solar PV + battery storage across a growing portfolio of residential properties.
MILESTONES BEYOND THE MEGAWATTS
Alongside a record year of project delivery, 2025 saw Solmatix strengthen its influence, capability and industry leadership.
We delivered multiple CPD presentations to organisations across NI and GB, helping educate teams on Solar PV technology, compliance and best practice. With more scheduled for 2026, this programme continues to expand the Solmatix network and educate the industry.
We were honoured to be named NI Chamber’s Local Economy of the Future - Business of the Year, recognising our commitment to innovation, growth and community impact.
This year also marked two years since Solmatix returned to independent ownership, a period in which we have grown rapidly across NI, ROI and GB, strengthened our Team, and delivered some of our largest projects to date.
Our technical capability continues to evolve - in 2025, we became a Certified Tesla Partner across the UK and Ireland, bringing world-class battery solutions to our clients.
We also launched the Solmatix Green Energy Advance, a new scheme designed to help landlords in England and Wales maximise returns from Solar PV through a more accessible, finance-supported pathway.
These milestones reflect a business that is not only delivering renewable projects - but actively shaping the future of clean energy across these islands.

LOOKING AHEAD
As we move into 2026, our order book and pipeline are stronger than ever. We remain focused on delivering high-quality renewable energy projects while continuing to build long-term partnerships based on trust, consistency and performance.
As we head into the start of 2026, we’ll be commencing our largest installation to date - a 2.15 MW ground-mounted solar project for our long-standing client NI Water. This is a huge milestone for Solmatix and a real credit to everyone involved in making it happen.
Equally important is how we deliver our work. Health and safety remains our number one priority. We are proud to have achieved another year with no major incidents, driven by a simple principle we stand by as a team: everyone should go to work and return home safely. That commitment sits at the heart of everything we do on site and across the business.
From all of us at Solmatix, thank you for your continued support. We wish you a peaceful Christmas and a successful, sustainable New Year.
Warm regards,
Team Solmatix
