One of the most important aspects of any solar panel system is your
hot water tank. If you are building a new home, we can design and supply a
tank to your exact needs.
Alternatively, for existing homes we can provide methods of ‘heat exchange’
which may mean you do not have to replace your hot water tank. This minimises
cost and disruption to your home.
Solmatix Solar Heating Systems can be connected to a hot water tank
in 3 formats. Depending on your plumbing configuration, Solmatix will provide
the appropriate, optimum heat exchange method:
1. Stainless steel or copper hot water tank with additional ‘solar’ coil
2. Internal heat exchanger for copper hot water tanks with available connection
3. External heat exchanger for vented or unvented hot water tanks
